There was a convenience store shooting then it went on to a house on Madison Avenue. the 17 year old boy was shot sunday night and taken to Methodist Hospital. The victim was shot up one in the forearm and one in the abdomen.

Democratic Rep. Julia Carson,69, died from lung cancer on Saturday. They found her in her house. Lately, she has spent many weeks there. She has had a history of medical problems dealing with her heart. She actually made it through heart surgery. She wanted to go for an 8th term in 2008 but she died. In september she was hospitalized with a leg infection. She was the first black and first woman to represent Indianapolis in Congress from a district that is nearly two-thirds white.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain reduced visibility and iced over highways from the Great Lakes to New England. This storm dumped more than 10 inches of snow in parts of Michigan and Vermont, stranding air and road travelers. Also caused a jetliner to skid off a runway. many flight were delayed. The Hannah Montana concert in New York went on, but almost everything else, besides football games, was closed.i bet riley went to the Hannah Montana concert.

A suicide bomber blew himself up among a group of Pakistani army recruits returning from a soccer game in northwestern Pakistan on Monday. Nine were killed. The attack took place near an army communications center in Kohat, about 30 miles from the city of Peshawar. The young recruits were walking back to their quarters along a public road when a lone bomber walked up to them and set off the blast. Pakistan was hit already by a couple other suicide bombers in recent days.

Another victory for the Colts last sunday. the score was 21-14 against the Raiders. This is the 5th consecutive season that the colts are AFC south division champs.Anthony Gonzales made the winning 20 yard touchdown. They came out with a winning season o f12-2 which mad them the first team in NFL history to win 12 or more games in 5 consecutive seasons.

Iranian power plant got its first shipment of nuclear fuel from Russia. Russia is building the plant, but there have been frequent delays due to money issues. Other countries are concerned about it. The disputes have been resolved and Russia is sending fuel now.

the international truck and engine corp. has been on a 7 week strike and finally ended on sunday.3700 members of the UAW voted for a new contract. this contract last from now to oct. 1, 2010. they were on strike b/c of unfair labor practices. the contract will increase health care cost sharing and an improved new hire package.
The UAW also has dropped all unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
